With an objective of nurturing technical education in Bangalore since 1958, Acharya Patashala Polytechnic is the known ‘light’ to the education centre in the heart of the Capital city of Karnataka. This affiliated college which is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has been dedicating its service to the development and well being of young generation for over six decades. The institute is located in Somanahalli on the Kanakapura Main Road on a 100 acre of land which provides a perfect atmosphere for learning. The institute has 43 committed educators on its Faculties, offering five Diploma Programmes in engineering to aspiring engineers at Acharya Patashala Polytechnic.

Acharya Patashala Polytechnic boasts of its well-equipped infrastructural facilities that enhance the capacity of a learners’ personal and academic development. Central to academic resource is the college Library, a knowledge resource centre which has evolved with the growth and development of the College. The library has more than 12113 volumes of books and occupies as vast area of 7000 sq feet provides information over Engineering, Technology, management and allied field. This college features modern labs adapted to the needs of each department, so the students can develop practical experiences in addition to the theories. In terms of IT facilities, schools have formally embraced the social technological environment with adequate provisionary infrastructural support.

Acharya Patashala Polytechnic teaches only a selected range of diploma courses and all these are regular programmes lasting for three academic years. The institute currently provides five diploma courses: Civil, computer science & engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering and Electronics and Communication engineering and Mechanical engineering. Every course has an intake of 30 students as approved by the institute management to enhance the quality of education offered in the institute and ensure that student instructor ratio is well maintained.
