About Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna
Al Shifa College of Pharmacy Perinthalmanna, established in 2002, is a premier private pharmacy institution. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the college is the first NBA-accredited pharmacy institution in Kerala and focuses on value-based pharmaceutical education.
Al Shifa College of Pharmacy deals in courses related to Pharmacy and medical courses only. The courses includes a 4-year full-time programme named BPharm, 2-year full-time programme named DPharm, 6-year full-time programme named Pharm D and 3-year programme named MPharm in various specialisations like Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Practice.
Since the college is affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur, thus the admissions are done on the basis of merit in previous examinations. KEAM scores are accepted for BPharm course. MPharm and Pharm.D admissions are conducted through the centralised counselling process organised by the Kerala State Self-Financing BPharm Management Association (KSSBCMA).
The college not only focuses on education, but also focuses on post compilation support in terms of placements. As per NIRF 2025 report, a total number of 58 undergraduate students, 32 students from 2 year PG programme, 10 students from 3 year postgraduate programme, and 24 students from 6 year postgraduate students were placed with the help of the Al Shifa College of Pharmacy with AL SCP Perinthalmann median salary package of Rs 2,85,000, Rs 3,90,000, Rs 3,80,000 and Rs 3,84,000 respectively. Apart from these facilities, the college also offers other facilities like laboratories, computer centres, and a library and digital resources.
