BCIP was set up in 2003 and is situated in the National Capital New Delhi; it has emerged as one of the firstmany Physiotherapy institutions in India. As an affiliated college, BCIP offers specialized education in the field, of physiotherapy. It is located in Kalkaji, New Delhi and has total enrolment of 287 students. BCIP has a teaching staff force of 12 members ensuring the students are provided with a sector-focused learning experience. The institute offers two degree programs: A four-year undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and a two-year Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Musculoskeletal, to further education of this healthcare profession.

BCIP recognizes its responsibility and intention to avails to its students adequate facilities that will improve their learning experience as well as their development. The institute has state of the art gym facilities to help the students brace up their physical health. One must acclaimed the opportunity to communicate with a representatives of different fields of the medicine of the BCIMS Hospital, in particular such sections as orthopedic, medicos, surgical, dental, pathologic and pediatric. The centrally air-conditioned library is the center of academic resources containing more than 2054 books on physiotherapy and other related medical course texts, newspapers, magazines and journals. By making attendance at the library a requirement, these resources will also be used for class often. 

The course provided by the institute total to two and both are available with full time options. These include the BPT that takes the learner four years of under graduate study, and MPT Musculoskeletal studies that takes two years of post graduate study. They say that this focused approach ensures that learners receive much attention as well as quality education in physiotherapy.

Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy follows the merit system fully for their admission criteria. For admission to various programmes, the students need to give CET organized by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIP). By doing so this eliminates ways that may lead to favoritism and the BPT and MPT programs can be assured of having competent students. The MPT Musculoskeletal program prospective students sits for a central counseling process which is done by the University to enable the student join his or her preferred institute.
