BD Kale Mahavidyalaya established during 1989 is one of the affiliated colleges to Savitribai Phule Pune University situated at Ghodegaon in Pune, Maharashtra. The campus area is spread over 5.7 acres offering versatile undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college has a total enrolment of students at the level of undergraduate and postgraduate courses of 822 and faculty strength of 30. The college provides an atmosphere favourable for learning. Quality education is granted by BD Kale Mahavidyalaya, accredited by NAAC. There are seven different degree courses the college offers, which range from traditional to professional courses that further allow students to enrol in the courses suiting their academic interests and career aspirations. 

The facilities provided by BD Kale Mahavidyalaya are numerous and cover almost all aspects that go on to make studying here a unique experience. The availability of a well-stocked library therefore acted as an information centre, and well supplied laboratories met the need for practical learning. The boys' hostel also provides comfortable accommodation for outstation students. Health and fitness were given main importance due to the availability of a first-aid facility and well-facilitated gymnasium for both boys and girls. To the youth with an inclination for sports, the college provided a set of various sports facilities that geared physical development and improve team spirit. The presence of cafeteria on campus serves as a space for relaxation and socialisation. A guest room, though accommodated by visiting faculty and members of the family of students, is also available. Sufficient parking space is given to students and staff. 

BD Kale Mahavidyalaya offers a total of seven full-time courses consisting of different disciplines. These include three-year undergraduate courses of BA, B.Com, B.Sc, and BCA, and two years post-graduate courses like MA in Marathi, M.Com in Accountancy, MCA. All these different courses help the students enrol in the courses that they wish to in order to make a career out of them.
