Bhavnath Chaudhary College of Education Bokaro an affiliated college is established in 2013 at Durgapur-Diwanganj, Chas Bokaro Jharkhand. It is accredited to the National Council for Teacher Education and it has two full- time course-education. Located in a 10-acre area the college has 100 students enrolment and the number of faculties is sixteen. Institute offers co-educational facility in the teacher education with specialisation in its B.Ed and also D.El.Ed programmes. Realising this need, Bhavnath Chaudhary College of Education has come to life and its prime focus is to provide quality education to produce prospective faculties of the future.

Among these facilities, there are academic laboratories, computer laboratories, recreational centres, art galleries, music centers, library, administration complexes, classrooms, cafeteria, and manufacturing units among others. A well-endowed library placed in the college acts as an intellectual resource centre for both students and teacher. For physical fitness and recreation the institute has sports equipment for indoor and outdoor games, gym and equipments for sporting activities. An IT system in the college enhances the effectiveness of the students’ learning process with necessary technologies. An auditorium is used in hosting events, seminars and thus supports the college’s academic activities. Practical learning is handled by well-equipped intercollegiate Psychology Lab and a Science Lab which contains many sets of apparatus & chemicals. There is also a canteen, temporary accommodation for visiting faculty and family, and a health centre containing first aid equipment. The college is home to an active alumni association whose function is to connect current and past College students.

In the filed of education, Bhavnath Chaudhary College of Education provides two full-time course. The academic programs offered by the institute includes education and training degree course which are Bachelor of Education  B.Ed and Diploma in Elementary Education D.El.Ed . The two courses have a learner duration of two years and the programmes aim at preparing students for teaching and education profession. The normal intake approved for each of the programmes is 100 students and therefore the two courses produces 200 students per year. This focused approach also enables the continuation of the college specific course offerings to meet aspirant educators.

As per the norms prescribed in the State Government of Jharkhand and the affiliated university concerned, the college offers admission through merit system to all programmes. For the B.Ed programme admission is given according to the marks of the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. The process also might involve other prerequisites according to the present state of affairs and the policies of the university. Likewise, for the D.El.Ed programme admission procedure is merit based and the marks of the qualifying examinations as well the entrance test scores are taken into account. The college has a clear and rational admission policy, where all students have a chance to achieve their educational aspirations in the teaching field.
