The City College of Pharmacy, Barabanki was established in the year 2019 and is a relatively new institution dedicated to pharmaceutical education in Uttar Pradesh, India. Situated at Lakshbar Bajha Pratapganj, Faizabad Road, this affiliated college has quickly made a promising centre for pharmacy studies. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Delhi, and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, and offers two specialised programmes in pharmacy. The college enrolls 46, with a faculty strength of 5, providing ideal environments for budding pharmacists; this is supplemented by various facilities aimed at the academic and other related aspects of growth. 

The library of the City College of Pharmacy forms the very backbone of learning. The collection of books there meets the requirements of teaching, research, and extension programmes of the institute. These can be used by students and other staff members after getting membership in the library. In addition, this college also maintains well-equipped and department-based laboratories where students get hands-on experience, which is an integral part of pharmaceutical education. Housed in a modern computer centre, fully air-conditioned, spacious, and the pride of the institution. This centre is built with the latest hardware and software, all interconnected through a Local Area Network to a centralised server to make sure that students stay familiar of all technological developments related to the field. The college also offers sports facilities and maintains a health centre with first-aid capabilities to contribute to physical well-being, focusing on an overall development of students. 

City College of Pharmacy currently has two full-time courses concerning to the field of pharmacy. While the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma.) runs for four years in duration, the Diploma in Pharmacy extends to two years. Both courses have allotted intakes of 60 students each; hence, the total seat capacity comes to 120 for the above courses. This course would attempt to give wide-based knowledge and skills in the pharmaceutical sciences to the students for launching their successful career in the fast-emerging healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. 

The admission in the City College of Pharmacy will be according to merit and entrance examination-based. The admission to the D.Pharma course is through the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination, more commonly known as JEECUP. The marks in Class XII are considered but only followed by an interview.The college follows the calendars declared by these state entrance examinations, which are generally conducted once a year. The City College of Pharmacy, Barabanki, has recently been established and is at the point of emerging as an upcoming premise of pharmaceutical education.
