24 MonthsMaster of Technology (M.Tech) in Processing and Food Engineering is a two-year full-time course offered by Central Agricultural University, Imphal, and approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Candidates seeking admission in M. Tech. (Farm Machinery & Power Engineering) and M. Tech. (Soil and Water Conservation Engineering) Programmes of the college/university must have B. Tech. in Agricultural Engineering from a recognised university with an OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 or equivalent percentage of marks is eligible for admission to the Master's Degree programmes. However, for admission in M. Tech. (Food Engineering) In programmes of the college/university, the candidate must have a B. Tech. in Agricultural Engineering/Food Process Engineering/Food Engineering/Food Technology from a recognised university with an OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 or equivalent percentage of marks. SC/ST candidates with an OGPA of 5.50 in the Bachelor's degree shall be eligible for admission.
Out of 5 seats sanctioned strength for each discipline, 3 seats are to be filled through the entrance examination conducted by the University. The remaining 2 seats are filled through the JRF examination conducted by ICAR.
