The College of Agriculture, Bikaner, is a constituent college of Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University established in 1988. Agriculture (Hons) is the flagship undergraduate programme that serves as the basis of agricultural education at the college, while postgraduate education is offered in a number of specialised M.Sc programmes. The programmes include Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Horticulture, Extension Education and Communication, Agricultural Economics, and Biotechnology. Each of the programmes is offered on a full-time basis which will ensure high-level study and research opportunities for students. For the advanced research needs, Ph.D. programs are available in various agricultural disciplines.

Every aspiring postgraduate student has to appear at the Pre-PG Test, which in fact is a competitive exam taken at Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner, or State Agricultural University of Rajasthan. Doctoral admissions are made on the basis of a Ph.D. Entrance Test conducted by any State Agricultural University of Rajasthan. Usually, these entrance exams are held every year; however, the dates vary every year.
