Crescent School of Nursing, Palakkad is a self-financing nursing college for women in Kerala state, India which started in 2001. This female only college is situated in Venganniyur, Alathur, and gets its recognition from Indian Nursing Council (INC) which makes the institution provide quality education in the nursing sector. The institute is located on an area of 6 acres and has made all the necessary provisions to favor the learning and practical exposure of the students. At present, the institute has a strength of 57 students and 18 faculties and, hence, the institute provides personal attention to all the students.

To the encouragement of students within the institute, the institute owns improved technical facilities to facilitate learning. A well stocked library is stocked with over three hundred books majoring on the university syllabus at undergraduate and post graduate level. The college has large and well equipped clinical laboratories, which are essentials to education in nursing. It comprises of specialty practice areas of anatomy and physiology, principles of nursing, maternal and child health, nutrition and specialised nursing. For example, a girl’s hostel on the campus can host over two hundred students within the institution thus guaranteeing theQN students a safe environment for accommodation. The institute also has spunky IT infrastructure, an elaborated convocation hall for events and seminar, different sports facilities and canteen facilities for students and faculty members.

Crescent School of Nursing provides a targeted education with most of its focus on a single course which includes the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). This course is a full-time course which takes four years to complete and has an approved capacity for 45 students. The GNM programme is educationally constructed to meet the needs of producing well-equipped nurses and midwives who would encourage a great success in the health care delivery. Even though the institute offer only this one degree, the nursing course offered prepares the students comprehensively in all aspects of the nursing practice.
