Dasmesh Girls College Hoshiarpur was started in 2000 Affiliated College For Girls Only, situated in Chak Alla Baksh, G.T Road Mukerian Punjab. Naac accredited the institution and Ncte has approved it and it is an associated member of mit world education network. Located in a 5 acres campus, the college provides 16 programs in 10 fields of study streams fulfilling the interest level of the students. Dasmesh Girls College has shown a total student strength of 1236 and 55 faculty members who help the young women learners focusing on higher education.

They said that the college has nutrition and physical fitness activity facilities that are aimed at improving the learning experience of the students. It is an essential tool in any learning institution with a stock of about ten thousand books and text/reference books in the various fields. That means it subscribes about 74 reading of the national and international standard periodicals and 12 newspapers. The library remains open from 9:Covers from 00 am to 4:00 pm at all week days and includes onboard book bank section for meritorious and needy students. In practical learning, the college has functional Physics, and Chemistry laboratories adequately equipped for learning. Post scarcity amenities that are provided to the students by the college include; a canteen, health centre, sport facilities and gym to complement on students health needs.

The programmes that are offered at Dasmesh Girls College are under the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. About 16 courses are offered in the institution and all courses offered are full time programs of study. Some of the main course are BA, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Sc Fashion designing, B.Sc Medical and Non- Medical. As a part of post graduate courses the college offers masters in Arts in History, Hindi, Punjabi, Political Science and Music, M.Com, a new Integrated B.A B.Ed. course and a PGDCA.

It must however be noted that the admissions at Dasmesh Girls College are program based and therefore the admission criteria for one programme may differ from that of the other. Most of the course have merit base admission criteria taking into account the grades obtained in the qualifying examination.
