Department of Law, School of Legal Studies, Central University of Kashmir Srinagar, set up in the year 2011 is one of the premier constituent college specially catering to the cause of legal education. Situated in Tulmulla, Ganderbal, this co-educational institute has been building professionals in the sphere of law for over 10 years. The department; accredited by Bar Council of India (BCI); provides three broad courses of law education viz., undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies. Full time courses available for law students in the Department of Law, an affiliated college of School of Central University of Kashmir, Srinagar, are very diverse depending with the level of legal education. The flagship programme is the Five Year Integrated BA LLB for which the college has got the permission for an intake of sixty students. Besides, for aspirational lawyers who want to acquire more in-depth legal knowledge the department provides two years LLM programme. Existing and prospective legal researchers, writers or faculty members can obtain the Ph.D. in Law which takes six years to complete and enhances the growth of the discipline.
