Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology, popularly known as DUIET, was founded in the year 2009. This is a constituent college of Dibrugarh University, located in Dibrugarh, Assam. This 687-acre campus institute got its approval from the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. DUIET offers a range of courses in the fields of Engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The total faculty strength of the institute is 31.

 The institute is facilitated to help the students nurture growing knowledge and skills through different facilities. The library was founded in 1967 and by now has built up turning out to a mammoth collection of more than fifty thousand books and resources. As for sport lovers, DUIET has organised sports ground, volleyball court, and indoor stadium and gymnasium. The campus has separate hostel accommodations meant for boys and girls, having two recently constructed hostels meant purely for engineering students, having an intake capacity of about 260 residents. 

DUIET offers a total of 12 full-time engineering courses in its undergraduate curriculum. There are 5 B.Tech programs and 4 M.Tech programs at this institute, all on the regular full-time mode. The B.Tech programs are 4 years in duration and M.Tech programs are 2-year courses. The sanctioned total intake for the B.Tech programs is 260, this encompasses admission to Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, each with an intake of 60 students, Petroleum Engineering with 50, and the Civil Engineering with an intake of 30 students.

DUIET accepts only the mode of admission through entrance results. In view of that, aspirants need to qualify in the B.Tech course either through JEE Main or Assam CEE. One application can be used for Prospective students applying in both CEE and JEE qualified categories provided authentic scores of both the examination should be supplied in the specific columns.
