Dr. A.D. Shinde College of Engineering, Kolhapur is a self-financed college set up in the year 2014, in Bhadgaon, Maharashtra. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. At present, the institute has offers a mix of engineering courses. The spacious college campus takes 10.1 acres of land and has an overall enrolment capacity of 478 students with a faculty strength of 67 members. The institute offers eight B.tech programmes for four years, in various disciplines of engineering.

The motto of Dr. A.D. Shinde College of Engineering is that quality education equips the students with the right engineering skills. The college provides all kinds of facilities for proper academic and overall growth. Besides adequate laboratories for every department, the campus has a large library well equipped with abundant resources meant for students and faculties. For the sake of physical fitness, the college has an up-to-date gymnasium and sports facilities. An auditorium also exists for holding discussions and taking part in academic events. There is a canteen on the campus, and its operation caters to the dietary needs of students and staff. The college has a health centre with first aid facilities to assure the well-being of its community. 

Dr. A.D. Shinde College of Engineering offers eight full-time B. Tech programmes in all. They are Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Electronics and Computer Science. With an approved intake capacity of 60 students, a total of 300 seats are offered to students through all courses. 

Admission to Dr. A.D. Shinde College of Engineering is entrance examination based. Eligible candidates will be selected for admission through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, also known as MHT-CET, state-level entrance examination. In addition, marks of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) Main are also accepted. Therefore, the chance of having the preferred admission is aptly available to the students through proper mechanical aptitude tests. The college offers a strict merit-based admission system to let the eligible candidates proceed with their engineering education.
