Dr. Dharmambal Government Polytechnic College for Women was established in Chennai with the motto of promoting women’s education through technical stream. This is a government aided polytechnic college setup in 1962 at Tharamani, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college is situated in a large area of 18.75 acres and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The college is affiliated with the  Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai. The institute has a total enrolment capacity of 658 students and is served by 18 faculties; the institute offers a number of diploma courses.
