In 1999, the Father Muller Institute of Medical Education and Research was founded and exists in Mangalore, Karnataka. This affiliated college approved by NMC and functioning well offers numerous medical and allied health science courses.. Spread over 30 acres, FMIMER has an overall student strength of 1,100 and faculty strength of 280. Overall, the institute offers 46 courses across 12 degree programmes proving its aim at delivering a variety of medical education.

Father Muller Institute of Medical Education and Research possesses all the modern amenities necessary to supplement its academics activities. The campus has hostel facilities for boys and girls to enable them to have a conducive environment in the course of their learning process. It has equipped the institute with a rich library facility, IT computerised and sophisticated sports acommodation. The students also access services such as a health centre with first aid facility, cafeteria and an amphitheatre for occasions including seminars.
