Eligibility Criteria
a) For Non-Sponsored Candidates
- Candidate must have a B.E/B. Tech Degree or its equivalent from AICTE approved Institutions with 60% or more aggregate marks.
- A Valid GATE/PGECET Rank.
Note:- When GATE/PGECET qualified candidates are not available, admissions will be given to other candidates based on merit in the qualifying exam.
b) For Sponsored Candidates
- Candidate must have a B.E/B. Tech Degree or its equivalent from AICTE approved Institutions with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
- The candidate must have a minimum two years of full-time work experience in a recognized firm/ Industry/Company/Educational or Research Institutions/Any Department of Government/ Autonomous organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
- A letter from the employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is being sponsored to get admission. The employer should also indicate that the candidates will not be withdrawn, midway till the completion of the course.
Admission Details
Of the sanctioned intake in a specialization, 70% seats are called A – Category Seats or Convener Quota Seats. The remaining 30% seats are called B – Category Seats or Management Quota Seats.
- Admissions for A – Category Seats are conducted by the Convener, PGECET Admissions through web counselling based on the rank obtained by the candidates in GATE/PGECET and the rules of reservations. The admissions are also based on course wise eligibility rules of JNTUA, Anantapur.
- Admission to B – Category Seats are done by the college Management following the guidelines of Government of Andhra Pradesh(APSCHE). The B – Category admissions done by the college are subject to ratification by APSCHE and JNTUA, Anantapur.
