Global Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) was established in 2009 as the affiliated college based in Nadia, West Bengal. GIMT offers different engineering programmes at both undergraduate and diploma levels and has a sprawling 12-acre campus. The institute received approval for its working by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with a total enrolment of 1,233 students. With a strength of 62 faculty members, the very conducive learning environment at GIMT enables aspiring engineers to sharpen their skills. 

GIMT has a host of facilities that aid in enhancing the overall learning experience for its students. The college library comprises a huge collection of about 31,455 books related to different streams of engineering, which helps students gain ample knowledge. Separate boys' and girls' hostel facilities are available in GIMT for those students who want to avail themselves of accommodation facilities. Computer laboratories are well-organized in the campus with high-speed internet connectivity through a 24-hour power supply. Students can also avail of sports facilities available within the college campus. These facilities include indoor facilities and outdoor playgrounds for cricket, football, and athletic sports. Other added conveniences to campus life would be a canteen, auditorium, and transport facility.

In total, there are 7 courses the institute offers: 5 B.Tech programs and 2 Diploma programs. All the B.Tech programs are full-time courses with a duration of 4 years, and the Diploma programs are of 3 years. The approved total intake for all courses combined is 293. Among the B.Tech programs, the highest intake is in Civil Engineering with 60 seats, and the following ones include Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering, which have 45 seats each. The Diploma programs in Mechanical and Civil Engineering have 45 seats each. This wide array of courses being offered facilitates the students in opting for an area of their interest and desire for the career building process.                                                                         

The admission process to GIMT is majorly entrance-based. For B.Tech programs, candidates need a valid rank in JEE Main or WBJEE. This institute also accepts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) for Polytechnic West Bengal for its diploma courses. These entrance examinations bring in a cream of students who have a better background in mathematics and science.
