The facilities that are available with GDCH for the development of student personal and academic achievement. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls for residential students to help them to reside comfortably. The campus is endowed with a health centre with adequate first aid services for emergencies that may arise from time to time. To support learners’ exercise regimen, the college offers a gym for people who have an interest in physical fitness. The library is a source of knowledge, with a wide-ranging number of journals related to dentistry and numerous materials and literature presented. Recreational amenities are well provided to ensure the students can balance between their work and prayer times. The college also has par excellence IT facilities for aiding information technology-propelled learning techniques. There is a cafeteria to provide the students and the staff with foods and a movie theatre to organise different events and seminars to create the atmosphere of the effective studying process.

The institution has all the possible levels of dental programmes, such as undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The BDS makes up the basic degree to be pursued by each candidate, and the college admits one hundred and fifty candidates for the course. At the postgraduate level, there are a total of nine MDS seats, each of which provides an opportunity to enrol in the chosen specialisations, including such ones as prosthodontics, periodontics and implantology, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics, and oral medicine and radiology, et cetera. It should be noted that all courses offered meet full-time status, which means students will have intense and productive learning throughout the semester.

The admission policy therefore at GDCH is stringent and is done on merit. The BDS programme admissions are carried through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET), which serves as a dental and medical entrance examination. Likewise for MDS programmes, the candidates are eligible only through the NEET MDS examination. These centralised tests are designed to guarantee that only the right calibre gets admission to this prestigious institution. Such institutions are governed by admission calendars set by different authorities and normally admit students once a year. As a government institution, GDCH provides education at very modest charges, thus enabling large society to afford quality dental education.
