Government Polytechnic Bhagalpur was established on May 31, 1955 under the name Bhagalpur School of Engineering under the Department of Science and Technology, Government in the field of Engineering and Technology at par with national standards. It was later renamed to its present name.
GP Bhagalpur covers an area of nearly 50 acres with four green campuses, Main Campus, Kanchankar Campus, Sri Bhavan Campus, and Lakshmi Bhavan Campus, not far from the banks of the Ganges at Barari.
GP Bhagalpur courses include Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Textile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering. GP Bhagalpur facilities include various Laboratories, Furniture, a Hostel, a Playground, a canteen, a library, and others.
GP Bhagalpur placement procedures are adopted as per the requirements of the hiring company. The common procedures of GP Bhagalpur campus recruitment include companies being requested to give pre-placement presentations to students. After the pre-placement presentation, the company will check the qualifications of the interested candidates and see whether they are eligible or not.
