Government Polytechnic, Rajampeta was established in the year 2008 as a Government College of this region located at Rajampeta, Andhra Pradesh. The institute is AICTE-approved body that delivers diploma-level courses in various disciplines of engineering. The institute has 343 students enrolled and 16 members on its faculty. Broadly speaking, these programmes are basically intended to expose students to a lot of applied knowledge and theoretical knowledge as to qualify the student either to direct employment in the industry or further studies in engineering.

The admission in the Government Polytechnic, Rajampeta is done primarily through the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET). This entrance test conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh, accesses entry to many diploma-level courses.
