One such affiliated college is the Grandhi Varalakshmi Venkata Rao Institute of Technology, popularly known as GVVIT, established in the year 2008 and located in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh. The institute has a sprawling campus of 10.28 acres, with various programs in engineering. It has a total of 318 enrolled students and a faculty strength of 84, thereby having a decent student-to-faculty ratio. 

GVVIT provides a wide range of facilities to enrich the learning experience and overall development of its students. The institute has well-managed separate hostels for boys and girls, both having a capacity of 100 inmates. The hostels are well equipped with spacious rooms, mess halls, and study halls, which prove to be highly comfortable for the out-station students living in the hostels. The central library of this college is a learning hub with over 11,815 volumes, 1,748 titles, and 31 national journals, along with different IEEE magazines and fully equipped computers with internet access. GVVIT offers excellent facilities for sports like cricket, volleyball, tennis, chess, and hockey. Regular table tennis coaching camps are also conducted by the institute in association with the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh. With respect to health and fitness requirements, the college offers a health centre with first-aid facilities and a well-equipped gym.

The institute offers two full-time B.Tech programmes, all of four years duration. These include B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The total approved intake for these courses is 300, out of which 120 are for Electronics and Communication and Computer Science and Engineering. 

The admission process in GVVIT is mainly based on the Common Entrance Tests conducted by APSCHE. In Category A, admission will be based on the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test conducted by AP EAMCET. Category B seats are by merit criteria specified by APSCHE. The institute also offers lateral entry admission into the second year, which is based on the Engineering Common Entrance Test conducted by APSCHE. GVVIT accepts scores from AP EAMCET for undergraduate admissions and AP PGECET for postgraduate admissions, ensuring fairness and uniformity in the selection process.
