The Indian Institute for Production Management – IIPM Rourkela is a premier institute set amid the lush green field at Kansbahal in Bargarh district of Odisha. This affiliated college was set up in 1983, and for more than 40 years, it trains future leaders of the business world. IIPM stands in a large piece of land of approximate 30 acres which provide a very favorable environment for learning. This institute is recognised by All India Council for Technical Education which means that quality education is provided here. IIPM a total of 117 students with faculty members of 10 in number, thus passing ample of attention on the students. 

The college provides state-of-the-art-facilities at  Indian Institute for Production Management Rourkela for the overall benefit of the students. There are hostel facilities separately for boys and girls to accommodate the out station students comfortably. An endowed library has a collection of over 5000 books in different areas of interest; subscription to close to 100 journals and magazines; and about 300 e-journals. It is evident from the sport facility and gymnasium in the institute in support of the institute’s well-rounded training. Academic wise, the IT facilities provided by IIPM includes the provision of Internet, in fact Internet facility is also available in the campus through Wireless Facility. 

MBA is the prime offering of IIPM and is a two year full time programme. This institute has an approved capacity to take 60 students for this programme an idea that shows how the institute wants to uphold quality standards in its classrooms. 

Most of IIPM’s MBA students are enrolled based on the Odisha Joint entrance examination counseling. All students who clear the OJEE and come for counseling get the admission. In addition to that the institute provides admission to the candidate based on the national level tests also like CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, and ATMA. These possibilities make the programme easy for a large number of bright students to consider joining.
