Indirani College of Nursing, Puducherry course was started in the year 2008 and it is recognized college for nursing education. This co-educational college is placed at Ariyur, which is on the Pondy-Villupuram Main Road and the college occupies a total of 3 acres. Introducing quality education the institute is accredited from National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] and approved from Indian Nursing Council [INC]. As an affiliated college, it provides students with a wide choice of Nursing programmes; 2 degrees are offered across the 7 courses; in total 472 students attend BCN. The faculty strength is 64 and the college has a good student teacher ratio which enable students to take  adequate attention of faculty and quality education.

Indirani College of Nursing has a wide range of facilities for its present day student which are state of the art and so fitted to complement their learning and development needs. It plays a major information center by providing an extensive source of nursing literature and research information. Modern laboratory facilities characterized by availability of appropriate medical equipment are necessary for training nurses. Currently the institute has 7 full- time programmes out of which 3 courses are undergraduate courses and 4 are postgraduate courses. The college also provides undergraduate 4 years B.Sc Nursing programme with 100 new admission and 2 years Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course with 30 new admission capacity. For the more annually specialised occasions, the college offers many M.Sc Nursing programmes whereby each programme takes 2 years to complete and students with an entry of 8 specialisations are allowed in each programme.

For the B.Sc Nursing, the candidate shall have done 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the group subjects.
