KLE Society’s College of Pharmacy, Nipani started in 1992, is one of the premier Pharmacy colleges located in Belagavi, Karnataka. This affiliated college recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) of educators in the pharmaceutical field offers diverse courses. The college occupies a plot of 2 Acres and it admits up to 364 students and C 22 members of faculty. Currently, the institute provides 4 educational courses at 3 levels of degrees with emphasis on different aspects of pharmacy. The academic profile of the college features a total of 244 students of which there are 97% under graduate and 3% post graduate levels with male female ratio of 45 : 55.

KLE Society's College of Pharmacy, Nipani is affiliated with the college  Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The college boasts of excellent facilities that acts as a backdrop to students’ academic and person development. Its collections are about 3000 books in the field of Pharmacy and related science disciplines, and 25 national and International journals. The institution has hostels for boys & girls with a maximum accommodation of 750 students each. 

The university has a large computerized room for students with over twenty computers with internet connectivity. Some other infrastructure amenities include a cafeteria, an assembly hall, a basketball and tennis court, and well-equipped practical demonstration rooms. The college also has a health center where first aid facility is available and also has guest house for visiting faculty and students’ relatives.

KLE Society’s College of Pharmacy, Nipani has in total four programs offered of which some are at undergraduate level and some at postgraduate level. The college offers 2 full time undergraduate programs and 6 full time postgraduate programs. As for the total approved intake of all courses it is 235 seats. In the academic year 2022, the college had total of 244 graduates with 236 students in undergraduate programs and 8 postgraduate students.

To this effect, this paper will focus is to assess the admission process at KLE Society’s College of Pharmacy, Nipani as a means of identifying deserving candidates for its numerous program offer. However, there are no specific mention of course specific admission procedure, most often pharmacy colleges grant admissions based on marks scored in the relevant subjects and pharmacy entrance test scores. 

The college has students from within and outside Karnataka; 83% of undergraduate students and 63% of the postgraduate students from Karnataka. It increases the quality of learning amongst the students and makes the culture in the learning institution more diverse. It also provides scholarship to its students, in the 2022 academic year, 41 undergraduate students benefited with financial reimbursement. Being part of this college, students get associated to advanced professionals in the field of pharmacy and associated industries.
