KMCH is one of the oldest and popular institutions for providing the nursing education in the state of Tamil Nadu, India since 1993. This affiliated college offers various types of nursing programmes in different specialisation since it is recognised by the INC. Spread across an area of 10 acres, this mount Carmel College of Nursing has a strength of 537 students and 57 faculty members. 

It is the belief of this college that its students should learn in the best environment that can be provided for them. It provides a number of amenities to enhance the educational and spiritual dimensions of the students’ characters. The campus contains a good library and information center for all students and members of the faculty. Female students are offered college hostel facilities to enable them to have a safer place to stay. It also has accommodation for a health centre with first aid provisions which underlines student care. Sports complex is there for students to help them to maintain good work life balance. The college’s IT facilities provide for current approaches to the learning process; the cafeteria is designed to accommodate rest and communication. An auditorium is used in organising various functions, meetings, seminars besides enhancing the student life within the campus. 

As it shall be seen, KMCH College of Nursing hosts a wide range of nursing programmes. The institute offers 11 courses all of which are offered as full time programmes. These include basic programmes such as B.Sc., Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc.,Nursing, higher education courses such as M.Sc in different fields of nursing and nurse education, as well as doctoral studies in clinical nursing such as M.Sc., Medical Surgical Nursing. The college also provides Post Basic Diploma in other specialised areas inclusive of; Emergency and Disaster Nursing, Critical Care Nursing.
