Kokrajhar Government College Kokrajhar was established in 1959, currently offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels programmes in the field of Arts, Science, Media, Mass Communication and Journalism.

Kokrajhar Government College offers BA (Hons.), BSc (Hons.), BA and BSc programmes at the UG level and MA and MSc programmes at the PG level. Apart from the degree programmes, KGC Kokrajhar also offers the Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism. Admission to the UG and PG programmes is based on merit. However, the departments are allowed to conduct the qualifying test for selecting candidates for Honours in their subjects. Kokrajhar Government College is an affiliated college of Guwahati University.

According to the NIRF Report 2025, 12 undergraduate programme students and 14 postgraduate programme students from the batch of 2024 got placed with the median package of Rs. 3.60 LPA.
