MRIET or Malla Reddy Institute of Engineering and Technology was set up in the year 2007 and is a leading educational center in Secunderabad, Telangana. This affiliated college is located in a 10.06 acre land and has got NAAC accreditation. MRIET has an inclusive list of engineering courses provided and in total, there are five courses and one degree type. The institute has overall strength of two thousand five hundred seventy nine students and faculty strength of one hundred sixty nine members. The true raison d’etre of MRIET can be seen in its areas of focus: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Data Science.

MRIET offers a wide range of services to ensure the student’s physical and program comfort. The campus has an equipped library with lots of books and e-learning materials meaning that the spirit of learning is encouraged. Parents who love to make their children engage inculsive exercises to build their bodies can have the opportunity to use the gym and the various sporting facilities; playgrounds, basketball courts, etc, available at college. The IT structure corporate is strong with individual lab that hosts the various sectors of engineering. Students will also be availing the medical amenities that include health center understaffed by medical officer and the Malla Reddy hospital in case of any emergency. This way the college makes provision to accommodate its students with proper hostels for the male and female students’ respectively and each hostel accommodates 500 students. These are comfortable hostels, adequately ventilated and spacious as well as provided with all necessary facilities while being run by professional wardens who supervise different activities of the hostel.

MRIET has a total of 5 full time B.Tech programs and thus all are regular programs. It is not clear with regard to the total intake for all these courses but records show that B.Tech in Information Technology takes 60 students. The institute has a capacity of 2,579 students suggesting that there is a decent number of lots of students in all courses offered. However, information on the number of the students who graduated in the latest year is unavailable.

MRIET operates Merit cum –TS EAMCET for admissions to the various courses offered by the institution, thus dangling high competitiveness. This test opens 70% of the seats to students, 30% of the seats are reserved for management and NRI students. Furthermore, holders of diplomas can transferee into the second year, into the B.Tech programmes and 20% of the admission is given to ECET scorer. The institute admits students from inside as well as outside the state, but 99% of the students belonging to Telangana state and only 1% from the other states. Scholarship is also available in MRIET, and 101 undergraduate students have been reimbursed for the year2022/2023.
