The proposed institute, namely Meera Medical Institute of Nursing and Hospital Abohar, started in 2008 and is regarded as one of the leading institutes in society providing nursing education in Punjab, India. This affiliated college, approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), provides basic B.Sc., Post-Basic, and M.Sc. nursing courses on its 3 acres of land. maximum strength of 480 students and 11 faculty members make the environment more personalised for the learners aspiring to be healthcare professionals. The B.Sc. Nursing programme has adopted the Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test (PPMET), whereas the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme has adopted the Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test (PPBNET). These two entrance exams are conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences and are conducted on behalf of Dr. Harisingh Gour University Sagar and Jiwaji University Gwalior.
