Mercy College, one of the most premier institutions established in the year 1964 by the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel, is a premier women’s college. This college is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with an “A” grade by NAAC.
Mercy College offers full-time undergraduate programmes including BA in English, Economics, History, Psychology, Sociology, BSc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Microbiology, BCom and BCA. At the postgraduate level, Mercy College provides MA in English, History, Economics, Psychology, MSc in Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Microbiology, and MCom. Since the college is affiliated with the University of Calicut, thus the admissions are merit-based, which is based on the 10+2 marks for UG and relevant bachelor’s degree marks for PG.
Mercy College also has a dedicated placements team that looks after the students getting hired in top firms and institutions. As per NIRF 2025 data a total number of 335 UG students and 40 PG students opted for higher studies in the same period. In Mercy College Placements 2024, UG graduates received a median salary package of Rs 3,00,000 per annum, while PG graduates also received Rs 3,00,000 per annum.
