MIMT Polytechnic is an affiliated college situated in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, founded in the year 2003. This technical institution recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was established to foster the dreams of would-be engineers for nearly nineteen years. Located at Rasoolpur Kala on the Dehradoon Road in Chutmalpur, the college currently provides numerous diploma courses in different fields of engineering. In its faculty, MIMT Polytechnic has employed 49 hard-working professionals to ensure that good quality technical education is produced to the likings of the students. 

MIMT Polytechnic provides facilities like the library, a one-stop information centre of immense value to teaching, learning, and research endeavours. To support practical learning, MIMT Polytechnic has functional and departmental laboratories where students can gain spirited and live examples. Another notable factor is that the institute has a good investment in the present-day required technologies; hence, students get the technological advancements in their fields of learning.

The diploma programmes at MIMT Polytechnic took three years of full-time study, and the institution offers four diploma courses. These are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Electronics Engineering, and Diploma in Production Engineering. The Electrical, Electronics, and Production Engineering programmes are the current programmes admitted for students enrolled in thirty in number for each programme, thus the enrolment capacity of each programme of the institute. MIMT Polytechnic has kept small classes to encourage learning. Which brings us to the overall intake to the university; there is no mention of the specific enrolment for civil engineering, but it should be expected to be standardised with the rest of the programmes. These courses are intended to equip the students with core knowledge in the engineering disciplines they choose to pursue as they practice their careers. 

MIMT Polytechnic admits a number of students into its polytechnic programme based on merit after considering previous exams as evidence of the candidates’ capabilities. The prerequisites for admission also include passing the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic), also known as JEECUP.
