Modern College of Law started as an affiliated college in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in the year 2004. Almost two decades ago, it was imparting legal knowledge within the industrial vicinity at Anand Industrial Estate of Mohan Nagar. The campus of this college covers an area of 0.52 acres and is approved by the Bar Council of India. Currently, there are 443 students in an institution with a faculty strength of 11; hence, there is an intimate learning environment conducive to legal studies.
There are so many facilities set up by the college to enrich the learning environment. Of note is a fully computerised library with a stock of about 12,000 books. This library comprises thousands of course-related books, reference books, journals, periodicals, and newspapers to serve and update the students totally for their studies and knowledge about current legal trends. The working schedule is 12 hours a day to help the students study for a longer time span.
Modern College of Law offers only one primary course at present, the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program. The course described above is full-time and lasts for three years with an approved intake capacity of 180 students. The LLB course would facilitate a great foundation in the principles of law, critical thinking, and practice in the law profession. Though the college pays more emphasis on this core legal program, it can well be seen that it gives emphasis to the quality rather than the quantity of its academic programs.
