    About Newton's Institute of Science and Technology, Guntur

    Newton's Institute of Science and Technology is an erstwhile premier institute located in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, which was established in the year 2010. The institution has its sprawling campus in an area of 12.76 acres on the versatile range of engineering and technical programs. It is associated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. With a total student enrollment of 1,404 and faculty of 111 persons, the NIST offers every opportunity for academia and personal growth.

    The institute has a very impressive range of buildings that contribute to enriching the learning atmosphere. It has a central library comprising over 22,000 books, besides having international and national journals available. Digital library has over 10,000 e-books and journals supplemented by e-Shelf by Orell Technosystems. The boys and girls hostels provided by NIST ensure comfortable living conditions for students who hail from other towns. The boys' hostel is on campus, and the girls' hostel is in a safe location in town. The institute has many sports facilities that are inducing interest in various sports to keep the body fit and foster team spirit amongst students. It is equipped with IT infrastructure of the highest order to support technological requirements for modern education. It has a large cafeteria that provides quality food in a healthy environment to both students and staff members. The college also equips different laboratories for hands-on learning in the various engineering disciplines.

    NIST offers courses at various levels. The institute comprises of 11 courses offered under three different types of degrees: B.Tech, M.Tech, and Diploma. All of these are full-time courses and, thereby, incorporate a more intense and devoted study in respective fields. NIST has an approved intake of all courses together in 834 seats.
