PDEA College of Architecture, Akurdi is one of the young architectural education institutes, as the college was founded in 2016. This affiliated college is located in Akurdi, Pune, Maharashtra and aims at the provision of education in architecture. It is a 1 acre campus, which is now running 81 students and 17 faculty members. PDEA-COA has only one course championship – the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) which is a five years full programme with an approved annual intake capacity of forty (40) students. It is for this reason that, despite its relatively small brand image, the college is trying to deliver top quality in the provision of education in the architectural field. 

PDEA College of Architecture enrols a diverse variety of facilities that caters the educational and human development of the student. The college library indeed acts a repository of knowledge and provides all materials and key resources required for architectural learning. Accommodation of functional, well equipped laboratory in architecture education facilitates the much needed hands on learning to the learners. The campus has facilities such as an auditorium for seminars, and other special events and highly promoting an academic environment. In physical aspect, the students of the university have several opportunities to get sport facilities. College also has health centre with first aid facilities as safety of students of paramount importance to college administration. In university, a canteen provides food requirements for the workers as well as learners. Of special mention here is that the college boasts of excellent IT facilities, thus training the students for the technical part of today’s architecture. Consequently the alumni association that is active assists the students in establishing social capital for the profession. 

The B.Arch programme has been the flagship under which PDEA COA has built its academic structure. The expertise and essential creativity of an architectural practitioner are developed throughout this coherent five-year course. It offers a total in the capacity of 40, which was planning to retain right student to faculty ratio for students to get personal attention from teachers. 

Admissions at PDEA COA follow the admission guidelines of the University of Pune, Government of Maharashtra, and the Council of Architecture. Prospective students have to fulfill requirements set by these authorities, therefore it is essential to know it.
