RE Society's RP Gogate College of Arts and Science and RV Jogalekar College of Commerce, Ratnagiri: Established 1945 and An acclaimed autonomous institute of Maharashtra, India. This college has spread out on an area of 10 acres where it runs 37 courses spread out in 9 degree programmes and has 2,330 students. The faculty members are 136 members, which promises a favourable student teacher ratio. Accredited by the NAAC, National Assessment and Accreditation Council, this college has reached a stature based on excellence in academics and all-round development. 

RP Gogate College has very well-equipped modern facilities in terms of creating an academic and personality development structure for students. The library is the backbone of this institution and has collection of more than 106655 books, manuscripts, e-books, and more, managed through state-of-the-art SOUL 2.0 library software. The college has well-equipped laboratories, a strong information and communication technology infrastructure, and campus-wide Wi-Fi. In addition, separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls so that out-station students can live comfortably in the campus. There is a gymnasium and several sports facilities for keeping fit and healthy and for recreation. It offers an all-around list of academic courses in different disciplines under its campus. 

It offers 37 courses in undergraduate and graduate as well as the doctoral level. Its courses also include popular fields that are Arts, Science, and Commerce along with specialised courses in Computer Science, Biotechnology, Physics, and more. The college has full-time as well as research-oriented programmes for different academic interests. The significant courses include B.Sc in diverse specialisations, B.Com, BMS, MA in a variety of subjects, M.Sc programmes, and Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Hindi. The intake is also diverse in each programme. As a result, some of the programmes have as many as 35 students take admission in a single class, with B.Sc Biotechnology.
