Namely, RVS College of Nursing is established in Coimbatore in 1993 and is one of the biggest Colleges specialising in nursing education in Tamil Nadu, India. situated in Kumaran Kottam Campus, Kannampalayam, Coimbatore this is affiliated college and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) that maintains the standard of nursing education. It occupies a large area of 2 Acrs which is very suitable learning atmosphere facilitating learning activities for the students. RVS College of Nursing has a total student intake of 223 and has a faculty of 18 members, which provide a tailored experience in the college. The institution is co-educational for the children of all genders to enrol and pursue a nursing career.

RVS College of Nursing state that it is dedicated to ensuring that good facilities are provided to support the learning activities of its students. The campus has functional laboratories such as; Anatomy, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Community Health, Paediatric, Basic Nursing, Nutrition and Microbiology as well as a computer Lab. A Library is also an important asset to the College as it contains an estimate collection of 4000 books, 2100 titles and a number of journals – both national and international ones, including 25 of them, CDs and magazines. Considering the comfort of students and accessibility of the hostel, the college hosts two different hostels for boys’ and girls’ separately which are fully equipped with better and cosy rooms and most important cleanly managed mess services. There is also health centre on campus with first aid services, improved sporting facilities and modern information technology to suit academic and co-curricula activities of the students.

RVS College of Nursing currently offers one full-time course: Known as the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) programme. This is an undergraduate course taking four years, which has an approved student intake of 60 students per year. The programme of B.Sc Nursing aims to develop in the students sufficient theoretical understanding along with necessary practice to run a successful nursing course. Though, there is no specific information available regarding the overall graduate’s count for every passing year but vouching for the quality education and pragmatic exposure, it can be said that college is prepared to set its graduates up for a successful career in the healthcare field.
