SB Patil College of Architecture and Design, Pune was established in the year 2014 as one of the pioneering colleges in the state of Maharashtra for architectural education. The affiliated college is located in Sector 26, Pradhikaran, Nigdi, near Akurdi Railway Station, and is approved by the Council of Architecture and accredited by NAAC. The total student strength of the institute is 364 on its 2.59 acres campus with 58 percent females and 42 percent male students. The institution has also maintained a healthy student-faculty ratio of 38 faculty members. SB Patil College runs only one specialised course in Architecture; this epitomises the focus of the institution in offering courses in this particular field of study. 

SB Patil College of Architecture and Design has provided various facilities for the learning and development of its students. The library has a stock of over 1060 books, 15 journals and e-journals with a reading hall accommodating 60 students. It has well-equipped, specialty laboratories, such as Building Technology, Climatology, and Plumbing labs, and a workshop attached for practical training. A football field, cricket ground, and basketball court are available on the campus. There are separate boys' and girls' hostels with their own gyms. The facilities available in the college include a health centre, which provides first-aid facilities; a cafeteria serving meals and refreshments; an auditorium where events and seminars are held; and so on. 

SB Patil College of Architecture and Design offers only one full-time course: Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch). This is a five-year program with an approved intake of 120 seats. The B.Arch course aims at covering the entirely comprehensive education in architectural design, theory, and practice. At the latest count, this has a total student intake of 364 for all years of the program combined. 

SB Patil College of Architecture and Design accepts students based on State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State. The marks accepted by the college in two major entrance exams are the National Aptitude Test in Architecture and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). These examinations are usually conducted in the middle part of the year. NATA grants more than one attempt.
