Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, established in Badami, Karnataka, is a famed college in the field of Ayurvedic learning and treatment. Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre provides only a single course and is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course. This is a full-time course of six years in which students are given extensive knowledge about Ayurveda. The college has been approved to admit 60 students for this course, and this makes the educational atmosphere more controlled and individualistic. The BAMS programme is therefore structured with a view to providing students with both academic and professional requirements necessary for practice in the Ayurvedic system of medicine.
