Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, established in Badami, Karnataka, is a famed college in the field of Ayurvedic learning and treatment. This affiliated college was set up in 1997, though the college has been producing potential Ayurvedic professionals for the past 21 years. Situated on 9.64 acres of land, defining its rich history, the institute has been approved by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM). The college has an overall student strength of 340 students and has a faculty stream of 35 students who have enrolled to learn Ayurvedic medicine.

For training and development purposes, Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre has a 120-bed hospital with a separate OPD block, a Panchakarma Centre, a Kshara Sootra laboratory, an X-ray, an ECG, etc. This combination of classical and modern approaches makes this knowledge more effective, rich, and easily conveyed to students. The campus also provides special hostels for boys and girls to meet the accommodation needs of those who live inside the compound.
Shri Veer Pulikeshi Rural Ayurvedic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre provides only a single course and is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course. This is a full-time course of six years in which students are given extensive knowledge about Ayurveda. The college has been approved to admit 60 students for this course, and this makes the educational atmosphere more controlled and individualistic. The BAMS programme is therefore structured with a view to providing students with both academic and professional requirements necessary for practice in the Ayurvedic system of medicine.
