One of the premier constituent colleges of Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Andhra Pradesh, India, SKU College of Arts, Anantapuramu, was started in 1967. This institution, located in Sri Venakteswarapuram, Anantapur, has been molding minds since more than five decades ago. With a campus area of 482 acres, the entire atmosphere is most conducive to academic pursuits. Having a total student enrolment of 2,443, and a faculty strength of 30, SKU College of Arts runs 15 courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in four different streams, with an emphasis on Humanities and Social Sciences. 

SKU College of Arts has enough reasons to boast of the comprehensive facilities provided for the all-round development of students. This treasure house of knowledge has a great collection of 114,000 books, 190 periodicals, and 118 magasines in its central library. It is kept open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on working days and from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on holidays, thereby inculcating a reading habit among the students. It also has a section helping the students for preparing any competitive examination. It also has the facility of INFLIBNET and SOUL software for efficient management of resources. The college has separate hostels for Boys and Girls, but the accommodation is limited and shall be provided accordingly.

It also provides several sports facilities to the students so that they can maintain a perfect balance between education and physical health. At the postgraduate level, this college offers many different courses like M.Com, MA with different specialisations in Adult, Continuing Education and Extension, Economics, History, Public Administration, Sociology, Applied Economics, English and Comparative Literature, Political Science, Rural Development, and Telugu and Comparative Literatures. The college also offers many streams of specialised courses in the fields of M.Com Professional, LLM in Constitutional Law and Criminal Law, and M.Lib.I.Sc. All these courses are regular in nature and of two years' duration, with a serious interest building up in students' potential in the related fields.

The admission process to SKU College of Arts is mainly based on the SKUCET rank followed by other eligibility criteria. The prospectus students at the time of counseling have to produce the qualifying examination pass certificate with the required minimum percentage of marks.
