Sophitorium Engineering College, Khordha is known as SEC which was set up in 2009. The proposed college is in Bhubaneswar, known as Odisha, and is set beside to IT Bhubaneswar which is the right educational zone. SEC is a college and an affiliated college which is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Located in a vast area of 10.68 acres the institute offers total enrolment of its students strength of 1017 and has 96 members faculty. SEC provides five B.Tech courses in a variety of engineering branches to give students various field focus. The commitment to quality education by our college is expressed through well-equipped facilities and relevant packages.

Sophitorium Engineering College has a number of amenities to help facilitate learning and personal growth for its students. The campus has hostels for boys and girls respectively to provide comfortable accommodation to out-station students. Library forms an important barcode for knowledge and supports, while all departments have networked and well-equipped laboratories to meet all their practical needs. The college emphasizes the importance of health, therefore the presence of a gym and numerous different sports amenities. To meet health requirements, there is a medical centre on the campus which has a first aid section. The technological facilities and infrastructure are profound and adequate for modern teaching-methodical complexes and scientific production in SEC. Facilities that are accessory include a canteen, a hall for celebrations, conferences and seminars, and lodging for guest faculty and their families.

There are in total fifty 5 full time programmes which are B.Tech and all these programme are regular. These programs include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. The total approved student intake is 420 for all programs in combination of all courses offered. Though the total number of students who graduated in the latest academic year is missing; the college has a total enrolment of 1,017 this is suggestive of a healthy academic college.

The academic admission to undergrad courses in Sophitorium Engineering College is mostly centralised through the national/sstate level entrance tests. The college accepts scores from comparing JEE Main and OJEE, which is the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination. All those who wish to consider this school have to have valid scores in any of these tests to qualify. The admission criteria for the B.Tech programmes of the college are uniform for all the programmes. 

Unfortunately, there are no exact dates for admissions but candidates are advised to be in touch with the JEE Main and OJEE examinations, which are generally conducted in the admission period of this college. The selected criteria for admission guarantee that SEC gets talented students from all backgrounds. It also has an engaged alumni relations office through which current students are connected with the alumni but no prominent alumni are named. There are no special scholarships given specifically for evening courses; however, students are advised to consult the college for any available scholarship that may be available.
