St. John's College, Agra was established in the year 1850, and ever since then, the institution has grown by leaps and bounds, rich in excellence with a long history of over 170 years. Right at the heart of Agra, in Uttar Pradesh, extends this affiliated college across a 40-acre campus that provides an ideal academic ambience. This college is accredited by the NAAC, and NCTE has also given its approval for the same, which proves that the institution actually believes in making available quality education. Offering 26 courses under 11 different degrees, St. John's College has attracted a varied range of academic enrolment with 3,199 students annually. This faculty is composed of 77 members.

Admission to the college is done based on merit and is transparent. Almost all the courses admit students on the basis of qualifying marks, however, in the case of professional courses like B.Ed, entrance exam markings are considered or any other selection process as stated by the state government and university policy.
