The SIHM, Kozhikode is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Noida and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. The State Institute of Hospitality Management, Kozhikode offers courses including B.Sc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) and Diploma in Management (Food and Beverage Service, Food Production, Housekeeping Operation), Office Operations and Bakery and confectionery.

For Diploma admission, Students should have passed the 12th class pass with the English language as one of the subjects. They have to appear in the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE). The total duration of SIHM, Kozhikode is 36 weeks followed by 24 weeks of Industrial Training.
