Techno India Hoogly was established in the year 2002 at Dharampur in Chinsurah, West Bengal. The college is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata, and offers comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer applications and business administration. The setting of the college stands on the 2-acre campus at a glance. Currently, the enrolment is 158 students, and in the faculty, 21 members are there.

Techno India provides various facilities to students in order to give them better learning. Library with books and journals both in print and electronic forms catering to the academic requirements of approximately 600 students and 30 faculty members. The college has an exceptional IT infrastructure with its ultramodern computer laboratories. The well-equipped labs have branded computers and high-performance servers, along with a wide array of software tools and technologies to provide the student with numerous opportunities for the development of technical skills. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, so accessing the internet is trouble-free. Other facilities at the college include sports facilities and an auditorium for events and seminars. 

There are a total of three full-time courses across technical disciplines that are offered by Techno India Hooghly. For instance, there exist two undergraduate programmes in the form of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), along with two postgraduate programmes in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Science in Computer Science (M.Sc Computer Science). 

The admission procedure in Techno India Hooghly is based on many programmes. In the case of the BCA programme, admission is done through the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University of Technology, West Bengal. The BBA course procedure is almost the same, with its admissions based on MAKAUT CET conducted by W.B.U.T. For the MCA course, admission is mostly done on the basis of a valid WB JECA (Joint Entrance for Computer Application) rank or as per government rules. Techno India Hooghly accepts the scores of various entrance examinations, like the West Bengal Joint Examination for Masters in Computer Applications and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology Common Entrance Test.
