Vidyodaya Law College, Tumkur, is a prestigious institution in Karnataka that is involved in teaching law since 1958. An affiliated approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), Vidyodaya Law College offers two comprehensive law programmes. There is a three year LLB programme and a five year integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws programme. The college occupies a vast piece of land of approximately 70.285 acres allowing the institution to offer the best environment for learning and personal development.

Vidyodaya Law College has the advantage of having well fitted facilities to provide all needs of the students who are found in the institution. These are complimented by adequate, computerised library where legal information is stored. As the library caters to the needs of a vast number of faculties and students, it has a collection of central and state acts, lexicons, encyclopedias legal reports and commentaries. With Easylib Software linked to OPAC/EPAC facilities, students and faculty have even more resources through which they can search for materials. Of special importance to a student, the college provides for the physical aspect as well by housing and promoting sports to help keep the body in check.

In the field of IT, Vidyodaya Law College has been strong with having updated IT facilities. This digital backbone enhances the learning activities of 797 enroled students and assists 15 teaching faculty members in teaching their students. An outstanding amenities of the college is moot court based where students could get practical floor experience of legal arguing and courtroom setting. Such a pedagogy is important when it comes to closing the gap between theory and advanced level of legal practice.
