Vivekanandha Allied Health Science Tiruchengode was established in 2014 as an affiliated college in Elayampalayam Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu. It is a dedicated health sciences university with programmes in allied health science, which include various undergraduate courses and a diploma. The college is located in a conducive environment, which plays a major role in the achievement of the set goals and objectives of the institution. As of now, the college provides 15 programmes in 2 types of degrees, which include the allied health science concentrated in different courses.

Vivekanandha Allied Health Science has made available numerous infrastructures aimed at improving the learning and also the general development of its students. Th e grounds provide classrooms and a well-equipped laboratory, which consists of an up-to-date language laboratory used in training students in communication skills and foreign languages. Large, air-conditioned library with volumes, periodicals, and journals to support diverse courses; established and developing electronic library with e-learning resources. Some of the developments in that front include satellite-linked Internet centres complete with individual connections for the students in order to enhance their use of information technology and their research skills. The college also has a multi-speciality hospital with 250 beds on the campus for students practical exposure and for their medical needs.

Vivekanandha Allied Health Science conducts courses in important fields of allied health services. It offers 8 full-time courses, namely 7 B.Sc. Courses and 1 diploma. Several specialisations of B.Sc. include Radiology and Imaging Technology, accident and emergency care technology, cardiac technology, operation theatre and anaesthesia technology, physician assistant technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, and dialysis technology. The college also provides a Diploma in Optometry Technology. All these courses are expected to be run for three years, although the Diploma course takes two years to complete. 

This policy is in line with the admission process of the institutions and faculties, and more specifically, the admission process in Vivekanandha Allied Health Science. Although there is a lack of information on how the admission process works, students applying for admission usually need to have had their 10+2 education with the right subjects, particularly in science. It is probable that one of the criteria used in the selection process includes the performance in the qualifying examination. The institution’s declared goal of offering quality education in allied health sciences makes the institution attractive to students who wish to practice in the health sector as a career.
