Admission to the first year of the Diploma in Engineering courses offered by Women’s Polytechnic Chandernagore is offered through Joint Entrance Exam for Polytechnics (JEXPO). The institute also offers lateral entry to the second year of the diploma in engineering courses, admission to which is granted through Vocational Lateral Entry Test (VOCLET). Women’s Polytechnic Chandernagore Admission Process 

• Checking the eligibility criteria: Candidates need to check the eligibility criteria before applying to the respective diploma courses offered by the institute. 

• Application form filling: Aspiring candidates need to fill an application form of JEXPO (for diploma in engineering first year), VOCLET (for diploma in engineering second year) and WBSCTVESD (for diploma in pharmacy). Candidates need to submit the application form by paying the requisite application form fee. 

• Appear for the entrance test: Successfully registered candidates need to appear for the entrance examination as per the admission requirements. 

• Merit list: The authority publishes the result of the entrance examination in the form of a merit list. Candidates with their names mentioned on the merit list are eligible for further rounds of admission. 

• Counselling: The exam conducting authority holds the counselling sessions for the qualified candidates. Candidates need to choose their preferences during the counselling rounds.
