A Candidate must appear for the entrance exam conducted for B.Tech (Regular) by the BPTPIA (Bihar Private Technical & Professional Institutions Association).
Candidates can fill up the registration form for appearing in the exam by visiting the NSIT admission cell with the required documents.
The BPTPIA exam is usually conducted between June & August; the exact date of the examination is informed via the BPTPIA website and Institute’s website.
A candidate also must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship.

The candidate should be Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
