Admission to a programme of study in the University shall be made on the basis of written objective type Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET) by the Admission Committee of the Department concerned with the approval of the Dean Academic Affairs.

Merit and Entrance Based.

A Candidate must have passed or appeared in the final year of Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science Examination with 50% of the aggregate marks 45 % in case of SC/ST Candidate.

Eligibility in Entrance Category

• B.L.I.Sc. Course from University of Delhi or any other recognized University,  50% and above marks in aggregate or equivalent grade and the relaxation will be given for SC/ST/PH and other as per University rules.

Eligibility in Merit Category

• B.L.I.Sc. from the University of Delhi Only, 60% or above marks in aggregate for General Category and the relaxation SC/ST/PH and others as per University Rules.
