Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University is one of the newest universities with its headquarters in Kurnool Andhra Pradesh, the university was founded in 2018. It is a college located on a 144 acres area and is recognised by the U.G.C. There are 28 courses provided at the university to suit the needs of learners in 11 different programmes. The faculty strength includes ten members of the faculty to offer quality education in various disciplines. The university has a number of amenities meant to improve the student experience. 

The library facility divided into circulation section, book acquisition section, periodicals section and reference section is an informative unit in academic realms. Sports facilities for the students’ physical health are provided, and there is a health centre for first aid. Education requires sophisticated equipment and apparatus, and thanks to the university’s IT system it caters for it, and an auditorium is used for occasion and seminars. For out of town students, Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University has different hostels for boys and girls whereby they can comfortably live as they study. 

The total number of course offered in Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University is 28 courses distributed in different fields. Among them are full time programmes right from the undergraduate level to the post graduate level. The courses catalogue offers a balanced choice of academic disciplines, both classic and modern, including language and social sciences, IT and business. The proposed M.Sc Computer Science programme has an intake of thirty students. Being a university, several courses are offered to meet student interest and their potential career paths.

The admission to almost all the programmes offered by Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University is fairly centralised and equally holistic and merit based. The university takes into consideration previous qualifying exams performance as a measure of admission.
