60 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/five-year Doctoral program and it is offered by the National Institute of Technology Goa. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of five years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (M.E. or M.Tech.) in the relevant discipline with a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 60% marks in both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels from recognized Technical Institute or University. For SC/ST candidates a minimum 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 55% marks.
Admission Details
The degree of Ph.D. is being offered by all the three above mentioned departments along with department of Humanities and Sciences, which include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics and English. Research Scholars are selected through CSIR/NBHM/UGC-NET and GATE score.
