The Al Hafeez College, Ara was established in the year 1979 and is a co-educational college situated at Alimabad Murshidabab, Arrah, Bihar. This affiliated college offers three undergraduate programmes in Arts, Commerce, and Science. Collocated over 9.9 acres, the college has a current enrolment of 3,520 students in three streams of arts, commerce, and science, with a faculty strength of 35. Al Hafeez College thrives to nurture an integrated learning environment in order to avail quality education to students for attempting forthcoming challenges pertinent to the world.

The institution has very many facilities that can help its students enhance their learning processes. The library is stocked with numerous materials and resources in the form of textbooks, reference materials, and periodicals. It has an interlibrary cooperative arrangement with the Library of Khanquah Munemia Quamaria, through which it can make available the vast resources in printed books, manuscripts, and periodicals. Facilities are also being accessed by the library for e-books and e-journals to further extend the research capability. It has different hostel facilities for boys and girls to let the campus be like home for these out-of-town students. Sports facilities and a gym for physical fitness have been made important in order to promote overall development in Al Hafeez College. The college is furnished with modern amenities: smart classes, IT infrastructure, and laboratories without which one cannot probe into practical study processes. Daily living needs for the students and staff are also looked after by a cafeteria, parking facility, and a health centre offering first-aid services.

Al Hafeez College provides three full-time undergraduate courses. Bachelor of Arts includes many combinations of courses, including literature and science, and also includes commerce subjects. Bachelor of Commerce, on the other hand, comprises all the subjects combined within commerce studies. The last program is the Bachelor of Science. All the undergraduate programs are for a period of three years each. 

The admission procedure in the college is based on merit, open to the cut-off percentage required by students in their qualifying examination.
